five summer recipes (that seem healthy but they're not really!)

Healthy eating is all about moderation. And while the summer is about eating lots of fresh fruit that's in season, I don't see any harm in throwing in some chocolate, cream or sugar here and there to make things a little easier to swallow. After all, let's be honest with ourselves, summertime doesn't evoke images of guzzling back green juices after a salad for dinner. No we imagine barbecue ribs, washed down with a refreshing cocktail or cold beer. Well, I do anyway!
So here's a roundup of five summer recipes on the blog that were initially going to be healthy but then I went cray cray with the sugar, cream or vodka!

I only discovered a few months ago that ice-cream is easy enough to make and you don't need an ice-cream maker. Try out this raspberry and white chocolate ice-cream.

This cherry pie looks pretty and tasted even better. A perfect summer dessert.

I adored this watermelon lemonade and tried it out recently with vodka when I had a few friends over. I hear it's pretty tasty with gin too!

During the ice-cream making obsession, I also made this delicious blueberry, rum and hazelnut ice-cream. Give it a go, it's really easy!

Lastly, a simple smoothie recipe that isn't green and full of "superfoods"! I haven't made this in a long time and I'm thinking some Coole Swan or cream liquor would be an amazing addition to turn it into a cocktail.

Now go make some cherry pie with a side of ice-cream washed down with a creamy cocktail or refreshing lemonade. And enjoy it. Just don't tell your gym buddy ;)
