Since moving to a bigger kitchen, we've been baking twice already (the kitchen in our old house is actually a kitchenette and it was almost impossible to cook large dinners or bake in there!) I'm feeling very grateful and it's now actually a bit of fun again to bake instead of just getting frustrated when I have to resort to the floor for counter space!
So this morning we baked Christmas cookies. They're easy, there's only a couple of ingredients and they contain Nutella. It doesn't get much better than that. Especially when you're baking with little people.
Christmas nutella cookies:
150g of plain flour
115g of caster sugar
5 tablespoons of nutella
1 large egg
Preheat oven to 170C. Place all the ingredients into an electric mixer and mix until it forms a chocolatey dough. Put tablespoons sized balls of dough on a lined baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and leave to cool for 5 minutes. Now for the fun part, decorate with some sugar icing and festive sprinkles!
How proud does little Nancy look?!
