Myself and Nancy went blackberry picking up by our new house last week while visiting the house to see the progress. I had just collected her from preschool so she carried her empty lunchbox down a little lane just around the corner from the house and we filled it up to the top in no time!
blackberry jam recipe:
Juice of 1/2 lemon
(Makes one small jar)
*Make sure to clean the blackberries first to remove little bugs and dirt.
Place the blackberries in a saucepan and mash them up just a little.
Add the sugar and lemon juice and bring the mixture to the boil, stirring all the time.
Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 20 minutes until set.
Transfer to a clean jar and cover with a lid or cloth.
