As mentioned here many a time, I am weak for autumn. I really can't put my finger on it but there's just something about this time of year that makes me all warm and fuzzy. When we were young, Hallowe'en was a big part of our year. We'd spend about a week leading up to Hallowe'en decorating our family home and turning it into a haunted house. Maybe I've still held onto that feeling of anticipation leading up to Hallowe'en, maybe not. But whatever it is from mid September onwards I get a little obsessed with all things autumn.
Every year, I have my own little personal traditions to celebrate this season. Lots of them are just small things like slightly overdoing it with the cinnamon in my porridge or watching some zombie movie but with Little Nancy around, I feel like I have a proper excuse to act like a child and really embrace autumn.
So, I've made an autumn checklist for ourselves. It's a mixture of some of my childhood traditions thrown in with some new ones too for us both to enjoy. And we already have half of it done and it's not even October yet! Eager much?!
