autumn display tips.

Making little decorative changes around the house is my favourite thing to do. Props and decorating your home is not just for Christmas and it doesn't have to cost a lot either. Here's a few tips for creating autumn displays around your home:

1. Look to nature - In the summer I had lots of seashells around the house and even turned a few into seashell candles, you can check out the DIY here and now that we're in the middle of autumn I have acorns and pine cones dotted around. The best part...they're free!

2. Framed dried flowers & autumn leaves - Another great way to show off all the oranges, reds and yellows is to frame dried flowers from the summer or some autumn leaves. This DIY I tried out during the summer, you can read it here. An inexpensive way to hang more on your walls and show off the seasons.

3. Pumpkins and all things spooky - My favourite day of the year is Halloween. As a child it was a huge deal in my house and I don't think I've ever lost that! Whole pumpkins, carved pumpkins, clusters of tea lights, fake cobwebs, bat mobiles, glow in the dark paint...go all out! By the time 1st November rolls around you'll be starting to pull out the Christmas decorations anyway!
