Turquoise Flamingo will be launching it's very own dress collection this December!!! Let me tell you a little more about it.
The Icon Collection
It's a new dress collection inspired by two fashion icons of the past - Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot. Each design has 14 dresses made in varying colours and sizes, altogether making 28 dresses in the collection.
As the owner of Turquoise Flamingo, I wanted to create my own collection, taking the
inspiration from all the vintage clothing I work with, in particular
iconic pieces which I believe are portrayed perfectly through these two
women. The dresses have already been designed and the fabrics have been
chosen. The next step is to raise the money to buy the materials and
work closely with a seamstress and a pattern cutter to make theses designs into a real
collection for people to purchase, wear and enjoy. The dress collection
will be scheduled to launch at the start of December 2011.Here's the tricky part...I need to raise the funds to make the The Icon Collection happen. So I'm asking the public. My project is live on FundIt.ie and my target is €1000. Whether you're a vintage lover or you just want to help out, your sponsorship will be greatly appreciated. There's also rewards given to anyone who contributes to say a little thank you. All funds raised will go towards the materials needed to create this collection and the skills of an experienced seamstress. And last but not least, 10% of all the sales from the collection will be donated to SHARE in the run up to their Christmas fundraising.
